San Francisco, CA
On the ‘prow’ end of a multifamily housing project in the Castro district of San Francisco, architect VWMP utilized EnFold Façade’s rainscreen system in aluminum finished with a paint that gives the panels the appearance of rusted steel.
This finish is perfect for clients who want the look of Cor-Ten steel without the rust drips that build up over time. This special paint contains iron ore powder and is applied with acid. The rust effect develops overnight and is almost impossible to differentiate from actual rusted metal.
Other EnFold Façade elements on the project include Juliette balconyies in anodized aluminum, cornice sunshades, guard railing and a pedestrian entrance gate finished in the same rust-effect finish.
